JUANULLOA mexicana

Description

Uncommon evergreen bush, naturally spread in Mexico and South/Central America, which can reach 2 metres of height. Its rigid and delicate branches are covered by dark-green and oblong-shape leaves. During the summer, stems fill of numerous of pendulous inflorescence with tubular flowers, fleshy and orange coming out from showy goblets equally orange. A yellow oval and conical fruit follows the flower, equally ornamental.

Suggestions

It needs a sunny or semi shaded position, and sheltered from cold winds. It needs soft, rich, wet and well drained soils. It tolerates drought, but in summer it's better to irrigate it regularly in order to obtain a better blooming. It's a tropical plant: it doesn't tolerate
