ERIGERON karvinskianus

Description

Graceful herbaceous, perennial and evergreen, native to Central America and with a ground cover habit considering that it doesn't grow more than 25 cm tall. Thin stems are covered by small lanceolate leaves rise numerous from the ground and are surmounted by small daisies with pinkish-white petals and a yellow central disc that embellish the plant for a prolonged period of the year.

Suggestions

It's a rustic and vigorous plant. It needs sunny or semi shaded positions as well as fresh and well drained soils; it is also good for pots. Suitable to rock gardens or scarps; it is also suitable to borders or at the base of big shrubs or bushes. It tolerates drought well enough, but in summer regular irrigations can improve its development. At the beginning of spring, strong pruning and rich fertilization could improve both tillering and blooming of the plant.
