AMPELOPSIS tricuspidata 'Veitchii' (=Parthenocissus)

Description

Decorative climbing plant that is widespread throughout the world, with long stems covered by tricuspid leaves and tendrils from which the plant covers quickly and easily walls, facades, columns or other vegetal supporters. After summer blooming, the plant has small white flowers, while in autumn it is covered by purple berries, particularly appetizing for birds. Always in autumn, the plant is deep orange-red colored.

Suggestions

It's ideal to cover house walls with insulating and refracting function. It prefers deep and light soils, but it can adapt in each kind of soil, both in coastal and internal gardens. It requires periodic fertilizations in autumn and periodic irrigation in summer.
