ALOE thraskii

(Dune Aloe)

Description

A tree-shaped succulent plant that can grow 2-m tall or more. It has beautiful leaves which are so long to touch the stem with their tip. It has showy and decorative yellow-orange flowers. It is suitable to coastal gardens both as an isolated specimen and associated with other succulent plants.

Suggestions

It should be absolutely planted in sunny positions and in a well-drained, sandy and stony soil. It could tolerate light frosts, but in cold climates it usually needs a shelter.
