CHAMAECEREUS sylvestri (=Lobivia silvestrii)

Description

Small cactus growing with long cylindrical stems, branched and covered with soft and small white bristles. The stems tend to grow prostate and, in the late spring, they produce very showy red flowers, about 4 cm long. Great for rock gardens, but it grows as well in pots and it can withstand long periods of drought. Ensure a sunny position and a well-drained soil, generally dry.
