AGATHEA coelestis (=Felicia amelloides)

Description

This wonderful bush, with a cushion-like habit and native to South Africa, has a very prolonged flowering; in fact, the daisies, with blue petals and yellow disc, bloom from spring to the first winter cold, in successive waves. Its bright green leaves are fleshy and persistent. Plant suitable to coastal gardens that has a good resistance to drought, although irrigation may be necessary to improve flowering. It can also be grown in pots.

Suggestions

Avoid water excess in winter, placing the plant in a drained substratum. Although it resists long periods of drought, sporadic irrigation in spring-summer speeds up growth and improves appearance.
