CUPHEA hyssopifolia

Small evergreen and thickly branched cushion bush, which can reach maximum 60 cm both in height and width. Charming for its compact shape and full blossom. Leaves are lance-shaped and of a deep green color. From spring to late autumn, pink/lilac tubular flowers grow from the axils of leaves.

Even if the plant tolerates the sun very well, it's better to place it in semi-shaded positions, rich and well drained soils. Even if it also tolerates drought, regular summer waterings are very useful for a perfect development of the plant. At the end of blooming, light prunings are ideal to keep the compact shape and to enhance the blooming. These plants are ideal both for borders and for containers in coastal gardens.
