Vigorous evergreen shrub with long arched branches, velvety and silvery when they are young. The leaves are of a dark green colour on top and silvery underneath, creating a striking effect in presence of wind. Flowers are fragrant and gathered in dense cylindrical inflorescences. It tolerates light frosts but it is better to avoid of exposing it to the intense cold.
